Do you send a written estimate?
Yes. After the brief you get the day rate, the hours, what is included, and the date the files leave. The rates on the terms page are the rates on the estimate. A recce inside Chișinău is included once the shoot is confirmed. Cancel five or more days before the call and the deposit comes back. Inside five days the deposit is kept. Inside 48 hours, half the day rate is billed, and the deposit is credited against it.
Can the recce happen before the date is final?
For a room in the city, yes. We will stand there with you at the hour you want to shoot. The gate on Armenească is open Monday to Friday, 09:30 to 18:00. Call +373 69 418 273, or write, and we put the visit on the diary. If the job is outside Chișinău, the recce is part of the priced day, not a free trip.
How do the files arrive?
A private link. A drive from the desk at Strada Armenească 15 if you want one as well. We do not post the work anywhere unless you ask for that in writing. Selects in four working days, full stills in nine, a graded film in sixteen. Working days are Monday to Friday and skip a public holiday in Moldova.
Do you travel outside Chișinău?
Inside the city the day rate includes the travel. Outside, we price the day before we hold the date. Cricova, a vineyard, Orhei: say the place in the brief. We do not fly the kit, and we do not shoot from a drone.
Who owns the pictures?
You receive a licence. Copyright stays with Businesi Contres S.R.L. under Law No. 139/2010 on copyright and related rights, unless the invoice sells it outright, which we rarely do. The usual licence is your own promotion, in the Republic of Moldova, for two years, on the web and in print. Raw files stay at the studio. The terms page has the wording.
What if people are in the frame?
If a person is recognizable, they sign a release before we deliver that frame. We need the name as they sign it. If the person is a minor, a parent or guardian signs. If a release is refused, that frame stays in the studio. Say in the brief if anyone will be in the picture, including staff crossing a dining room.
Is the courtyard quiet enough for a voice?
Quieter than Armenească. Not silent. After 16:30 the court picks up the street. A voice is recorded in the blackout room, which has no window and sits beside the hall. We will say so at the recce rather than promise a clean track outdoors. The boulevard at the end of the working day is for pictures, not for dialogue.
